Enjoy a beautiful canoe trip
Vestbirk Camping offers day tours on River Gudenå by canoe and kayak from 16/6-31/12.
The tours are based on either departure from or arrival at the campsite, and the price includes either delivery of the boat to the campsite in Aale or Aastedbro, or pick-up of the boat at the pick-up point at Klostermølle.
Canoes/kayaks can also be dropped off at the tent site in Voervadsbro for a stop fee of DKK 50.00 per boat, which is paid directly at the tent site.
Booking a canoe trip on the River Gudenå
When booking, we register the trip on the Gudenå Committee’s website, and forward a confirmation with a charge for payment.
If the registration is not accepted (there is no more room for sailings at the time in question), we will of course notify you.
As the number of sailings is limited, it is advisable to book as early as possible.
Basically, you are responsible for your own transportation to/from the departure point/destination, but during the Danish school summer holidays and the weekends in August, transportation from Klostermølle/Voervadsbro back to the campsite is available.
During the Danish school summer holidays and the weekends in August, the counter-current bus (free of charge) runs daily from Klostermølle at 16:00 (Voervadsbro at 16:10) with the option of transportation back to the campsite.
Alternatively, you can rent a bike for DKK 150.00, which will be waiting for you at the terminus or alternatively you can pick it up at the departure point.
Canoe trip on the River Gudenå with overnight stay
After a wonderful tour on the river, you can spend the night at our campsite.
Here you can rent a pitch, cabin, tent or caravan.
No matter how you want to spend the night, a canoe tour on the River Gudenå river followed by an overnight stay can be a great experience for the whole family.
